Important information about treatment with a fruit acid peel

We take sufficient time for our initial consultation. We are also happy to carry out a computer-aided, aesthetic skin analysis with the VISIA 7 with which we can precisely assess the condition of the skin down to the deeper layers. Please enter this in the notes field when booking your online appointment so that we can allow enough time.

The skin analysis costs €70, half of which can be credited back to you if you decide on a treatment straight away and this is also possible in terms of time.

What do you need to consider before and after the fruit acid peel at GoAesthetic?

Before treatment:

  • 1 week before
    • No solarium visits
    • No treatment with permanent makeup
  • 6 months before:

    No treatment with isotretinoin (vitamin A acid products).

After treatment:

  • No scratching, peeling or pressing of the treated skin.

  • No massages or cosmetic treatments on the face for 2 days.

  • Avoid strong, direct sun exposure as well as tanning beds for 3-5 days.

  • For 5 days necessarily sunscreen with SPF 50 apply outdoors.

  • No steam bath and sauna visits for 1 week.

  • Repeat the peeling in 2 to 3 weeks.

Did you know: The skin peeling with highly concentrated fruit acid was patented back in 1992. Pre- and post-treatment is particularly important for the success of a fruit acid peel. Because with the right skin care, you can noticeably improve the appearance of your skin and thus increase the effect of the individual treatments from time to time.

Under medical supervision, the risk of side effects is extremely low. However, the peeling process can cause temporary reddening of the skin. However, these always disappeared again the next day.

Glycolic acid belongs to a group of natural substances often referred to as “fruit acids”. And as the name suggests, it is found in various fruits and foods. In the natural state, you can find them in sugar cane juice, for example.
