In addition to hyaluronic acid fillers, which are known for their moisture-binding and volume-enhancing properties, there are also fillers based on calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA). This substance is firmer and provides more structure, making it ideal for defining the chin and jawline.

    But beware: unlike hyaluronic acid-based fillers, CaHA fillers cannot be dissolved if complications arise or the result does not meet expectations. The decision to use fillers should therefore be carefully considered and discussed with an experienced doctor.

  • Jawline contouring

    Jawline contouring is the creative process in which the jawline is reshaped and defined by targeted injections of filler.   • Treatment

    After thorough disinfection and measuring the optimal proportions, we inject the jawline. If you are very sensitive to pain, we recommend that you arrive 15 minutes early so that you can receive an additional anesthetic ointment.

  • Result

    The result is usually visible immediately after the injection. Sometimes slight swelling is still visible, so you will only be able to admire the final result after a few days. Depending on the product, the results of Jawline injections last between 6 and 12 months.

Important information on Jawline treatment

Jawline contouring with 1 ml of hyaluronic acid is not enough – unless you have already had a Jawline injection. Otherwise, you should allow 2 ml for the first treatment, as otherwise the difference is usually too small.

We take sufficient time for our medical consultation. Whether it’s Jawline injections, lip injections or anti-ageing injections with Profhilo, if you can’t decide on a treatment straight away, we charge a consultation fee of 140 €. But the good news is that we will credit the 50 € back to you if you have a future treatment at GoAesthetic.

What do you need to consider when injecting a Jawline?

Before treatment:

  • No active inflammation in the area being treated (e.g.: acne, cold sores). If you are prone to fever blisters, we will prophylactically prescribe you a medication 2 days before.

  • Blood-thinning medication should be discontinued. Please note: Always consult your family doctor or us beforehand.

  • We do not perform treatment with hyaluronic acid during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

After treatment:

  • Cool the affected areas for 5-10 minutes.

  • No excessive sport for at least 1 day.

  • Avoid strong, direct sunlight and tanning beds for 1 week.

  • 1 week break for steam bath and sauna visitors.

  • No radiofrequency microneedling (e.g. Morpheus8) for 1-2 months.

Jawline injections are particularly suitable for men with a weak jawline who want a more masculine chin line. A chin correction due to a receding chin can also be combined with a Jawline injection. By the way, have you heard of the strawberry chin? Hyaluron does not help against this, only treatment with Botox.

The durability of a Jawline injection can vary depending on the filler used and individual factors. Keyword: hyaluronic acid vs. calcium hydroxyapatite. Hyaluronic injections along the jawline usually last between six and twelve months. The results of calcium hydroxyapatite fillers tend to have a duration of action of up to 2 years.

After a Jawline injection, you should avoid strong heat exposure, such as going to the sauna or solarium, for 1 week. Sport is possible again after 24 hours or after any swelling has disappeared. You should also avoid massaging the treated area unnecessarily or applying pressure to prevent the filler from shifting. And please note: Botox injections in the same area as Masseter Botox, for example, should only be carried out after a week. Slight swelling or small bruises are of course possible, but usually disappear within a few days.
