What is a thread lift with Silhouette soft?

A thread lift is a procedure in which small threads are inserted into the skin to tighten and lift it. We also refer to it as a non-surgical facelift.

At GoAesthetic, we use only Silhouette soft threads for thread lifting. These have a great advantage: in addition to the lifting effect of the skin, the main effect is based of soft thread lifting is based on the formation of connective tissue fibers (collagen type I and III). These give your face a fresh volume and your skin new elasticity. And the whole thing without creepy barbs. Without surgery. And compared to other lifts, they can be completely absorbed by the body.

You can ideally combine the lifting effect of the skin with Botox or hyaluronic acid injections to bring out your unique facial contours and conceal facial wrinkles.

How good is a thread lift?

Important: Thread lifting using Silhouette soft threads is not suitable for everyone. Facial fat deposits and the degree of skin ageing play a decisive role in whether we can achieve an optimal face lift for you with a thread lift.

If you have the right conditions, very good lifting effects can be achieved with the right number of threads, so that your face looks younger again. In contrast to hyaluronic acid and Botox injections, the effect is also significantly longer. Because a single thread lift with Silhouette soft lasts between 12 and 24 months.

Is a lift with Silhouette Soft suitable for me?

Right off the bat: it works less well for Grandma Herta, who longs for her youth. Because experience has shown us that for older people lifting with surgery is the only way to make sagging skin more youthful.

Important info about thread lifting

A thread lift in particular requires a detailed discussion of the treatment process as well as whether you would benefit from Silhouette soft threads. Radiofrequency needling using Morpheus8 is an effective alternative, especially for people who are no longer suitable for a thread lift due to excessively heavy, aged skin. Or, for example, for others who are looking for facial skin tightening after weight loss.

We will be happy to advise you on site. And we also take enough time for this. Important: If you would like to have a treatment with us, the consultation is free of charge. However, if you can’t decide right away, we charge a consultation fee of € 140. But the good news is that we will credit 50 € back to you for any future treatment.

What do you need to consider?

Before treatment:

  • No active inflammation in the area being treated (e.g.: acne, cold sores).

  • Blood-thinning medications should be paused (note: be sure to consult with your family doctor or us beforehand).

  • We do not do thread lifting during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

After treatment:

  • 5-10 minutes cooling of the affected areas.

  • 3 days elevate the head when sleeping – preferably sleep on your back.

  • No sports for 3 days – pause contact sports for 3 weeks.

  • Facial cleansing & makeup application should be done carefully for 5 days.

  • No strong, direct sunlight exposure for 2 weeks.

  • No steam baths, saunas, massages or facial cosmetic treatments for 3 weeks.

  • Avoid visits to the dentist for 3 weeks.

If you’ve already had a few hyaluronic acid facial injections, it makes perfect sense to think about a thread lift. But: Not every person is suitable for a thread lift. Likewise, sooner rather than later, at least talk about it. Because after a certain age, it is difficult to achieve lifting effects with a Silhouette soft thread lift. Does a thread lift sound too intense for you? Then radiofrequency needling with the Morpheus8 is the best alternative to skin tightening.

It depends on your face shape and natural volume. Generally speaking, in 90% of cases 1-2 sutures per side of the face are sufficient.

It depends on the thread lift. Silhouette soft thread lifting lasts approximately 12-24 months. Several studies have proven: The new collagen formation, which is responsible for the soft lifting effect of the soft lift on your face, persists for about 18 months.

Depending on the number of threads used, a thread lift costs between 830 and 2190 euros. In most cases, however, we manage with 1-2 threads per side, so we range between 830 and 1550 euros. Payment in installments is possible for thread lifting.

The big advantage is that you can be seen again in no time. Minimal bruising or swelling is possible. But: If you come to us on a Friday afternoon, you will usually see nothing in the mirror on Monday morning. And if a small bruise is left after all, it can easily be made over.

Before we make your sagging cheeks disappear, we numb the facial areas locally. After the local anesthetic has taken effect, you will feel a slight sensation of pressure as the sutures are pulled through.

This cannot be assessed as a general rule. First and foremost, of course, it depends on the type of thread lift. Surgical lifts with general anesthesia mean big changes for the face. Minimally invasive ones, such as PDO sutures or the Silhouette soft, fortunately usually correct themselves over time as the sutures dissolve. However, we can only make an exact assessment on site. One of the main components of this lift aims to stimulate the body’s own collagen production, giving you a fresh youthful complexion. We can also achieve a comparable effect with hyaluronic acid injections . However, you will not get rid of slight sagging cheeks in this way – the soft thread lifting is ideal for this, as a skin lifting effect occurs.

PDO thread lifting: Here, many, short threads are inserted into the skin so that small wrinkles are removed. But: A lifting effect can never be achieved. Therefore, we do not offer PDO thread lifting, as there are more pleasant and effective alternatives against wrinkles.

The classic face lift: this involves incisions under general anesthesia and a longer downtime. Typically, non-dissolvable sutures are used, which some people find annoying after years, as if you have a foreign body under your skin.

The effect usually lasts 1-2 years, which is longer than with injections. This is also how long it takes your body to fully absorb the sutures. Subsequently, the treatment can be repeated.

Basically, it depends on the type of threads on your face. It is best to discuss your wishes and pre-treatments during a personal consultation. Because two essential questions will be: What bothers you and what do you want to change?
