PRP treatment is best suited to men and women with incipient hair loss. This means that your hair is starting to thin out, you may notice receding hairlines, individual thinning areas or see more hair falling out when you wash your hair. Often the hair also appears finer and less strong than before. PRP treatment achieves the best results in this phase.
However, if the hair loss is very advanced, PRP treatment is no longer as effective. This is because the hair roots atrophy over time and stop working. They cannot be brought back to life with PRP treatment.
In the case of baldness, there is therefore usually no way around a surgical hair transplant. However, PRP treatment is also very useful following a hair transplant. This is because the autologous blood therapy strengthens the transplanted hair follicles, which leads to a better overall result. This is why all hair transplant centers recommend that PRP therapy after a transplant is almost mandatory.
