How the fat-dissolving injection works

Medically, this treatment is called injection lipolysis. During the procedure, we inject a mixture of active ingredients— phosphatidylcholine and deoxycholic acid —directly into the fatty tissue using a fine needle. The deoxycholic acid breaks down the membranes of the fat cells, while the phosphatidylcholine—a natural component of soybeans—emulsifies the released fat, thereby facilitating its removal. Your body then breaks down the fat via the lymphatic system and the liver. That’s why you won’t see the results immediately, but only after a few weeks.

Important to know: This preparation is custom-made at a pharmacy and usedoff-label for this purpose. This has been standard practice in aesthetic medicine for many years. However, our formulation has nothing to do with the “natural” lipolysis solutions sold on social media, as neither their composition has been tested nor their efficacy proven.

Who the fat-dissolving injection is suitable for (and who it isn’t)

The injection works best on small, clearly defined pockets of fat. Typical areas include the double chin, cheeks and jowls, the abdomen, back fat, and the inner thighs. Experience shows that the results are most noticeable on the face because the fat deposits there are small and the tissue is soft.

It’s just as important to understand what it’s not intended for: The fat-dissolving injection is not a weight-loss treatment. Even for larger fat deposits, it is no substitute for liposuction. Furthermore, it dissolves fat, but not skin. For example, if your double chin consists mainly of sagging skin, the injection will be of little help. We cannot provide treatment if you have liver disease, are taking medications that put a strain on the liver, are severely overweight, or have lipedema. A known soy allergy also precludes treatment. What Results You Can Expect from the Fat-Burning Injection

The fat-dissolving injection sculpts contours, not weight. After the treatment, your weight remains virtually unchanged, but the treated area becomes visibly flatter. For a double chin, this means a more defined jawline and a sharper transition to the neck. Studies show that the thickness of the treated fat tissue is measurably reduced, even if the change is subtle .   • Consultation

    First, we’ll take a look at the fat deposit together. We’ll check whether it’s actually fat or just sagging skin. After that, you’ll know if the fat-dissolving injection is right for you and how many sessions you can expect. The consultation costs €200, but we’ll credit you €50 toward any treatment you have with us. And if everything works out and you’d like to start right away, we’ll treat you during the same appointment. In that case, you’ll only pay for the treatment—the consultation is included.

  • Treatment

    We mark the area, disinfect the skin, and administer several fine injections into the fat deposit. This takes about 15 to 30 minutes. A burning sensation and a feeling of tightness during and immediately after the treatment are normal.

  • Result

    During the first few days, the treated area will be swollen, red, and tender to the touch. Avoid alcohol, saunas, and strenuous exercise during this time. After about 8 weeks, we’ll evaluate the results and schedule the next session if necessary.

Every treatment starts with a consultation with a doctor. Especially with fat-dissolving injections, this isn’t just a formality: Only by palpating the area can we determine whether a bulge is actually made of fat and whether it’s small enough for the injection to produce visible results. We’ll be honest with you if another method is more effective.
